Program Manager – Social Enterprise Program

Education
Undergraduate degree in Social/Community Development or related degree.

Work Experience
3 years in similar organization performing duties similar to those set out in this job description.

Contract
1 year renewable contract.

Job Duties

The Program Manager will set up and fully manage our Social Enterprise Program. This will involve the
following:
  1. Research on successful Social Enterprise programs nationally and internationally. Research local community needs, and assess the feasibility of the different enterprise avenues.
  2. Develop business plans for potential Enterprise Programs including cost analysis and ROI for the chosen model.
  3. Write proposals for potentially seeking funding through grants and borrowing.
  4. Set up training programs (either in-house or contract) for local community in business skills and related enterprise.
  5. Liaise with PR and Sales team to promote the Social Enterprise Program.
  6. Carry out regular M & E of the Program and report to the Board of Directors.
  7. Spend a reasonable amount of time in Malindi working with local communities.
