Regional Sales Manager Job in Kenya

Job Title: Regional Sales Manager (RSM)

Reports To: National Sales Manager
Location: Kenya
2. Purpose
a. Leads and manages a Sales Team working across multiple channels to achieve the Sales & Commercial strategies and ensure flawless executions.
b. Develop and grow the capabilities of the Sales Team.
3. Key Accountabilities
  • Development of a regional sales plan, which includes sales goals for team, budget, allocation of resources and servicing of market. Regional sales plan to specify market, channels, product range and new products.
  • Lead, direct and monitor sales team in the implementation of the sales plan to meet company objectives.
  • Ensure full SKU listing in all trade channels in region as specified.
  • Develop distribution network to its full potential by recruiting, training and evaluating distributor performance.
  • Ensure sales training & development for both Area Sales Manager team and auxiliary sales team to increase performance levels.
  • Generating of monthly sales reports (using sales out data) & setting favorable team direction using this information.
  • Report monthly on trends and activities related to sales in region, competition, pricing as well as new market/product opportunities, effectiveness of marketing programs and recommending changes.
  • Participate in development of marketing strategies for different channels within region supervised.
  • Ensure proper communication of promotional activities to distributors and trade.
  • Ensure proper merchandising, product display, POS usage, promotional activities to support marketing strategies.
4. Job Specification
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business related field from a recognized university. Post graduate qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 4 years experience working in a competitive environment, and at least 2 years in a management position. FMCG experience will be an added advantage.
