Commercial Manager

Our client a firm manufacturing and distributing domestic and industrial, manual and electronic weighing scales and video jet is looking for a commercial manager

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To develop and implement business development strategies and plans. This will involve working closely with Regional sales manager, Regional service Manager and the technical Sales Manager.
  • To create and develop commercial opportunities to increase the companies income. This is with both existing and potentially new clients with whom you will target, initiate and develop business relationships.
  • Identify new market opportunities and taking a lead in successful business proposals that will secure new contracts and long term client relationships for the organization.
  • Assist in embedding a commercial client service focused approach to all business processes and activities.
  • Contribute to the development of culture improvement within the organization in order to meet financial and performance targets.
  • Contribute to the development, communication and promotion of corporate core purpose, vision, mission and values.
  • Manage the departments’ budget to meet the strategic and operational business plans.
  • Support the development of performance standards within the sales and service departments to ensure the service is responsive to and meeting the needs of its customers.
Minimum qualifications, skills and competencies
  • Bsc. Mechanical / Electrical Engineering , Desirable other qualifications with relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Good knowledge of sales and marketing management
  • 5yrs of relevant experience.
  • Ms office application – Intermediate proficiency.
  • A passion for delivering outstanding customer service and have a friendly and outgoing personality
  • Should have good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be able to work with little or no supervision  Good organizational and management skills
  • Ability to display a high degree of professionalism and integrity
  • Must be willing to grow and learn
  • Must be responsible, flexible and able to work in any part of the country with frequent travelling.
  • Sales and marketing knowledge in these products line
