1.0 Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
 

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be required to develop M&E tools necessary for effective assessment the progress and giving final feedback on all college activities as well as guiding and documenting the entire process of monitoring and evaluation. 
H/she will organize and communicate to the relevant section and college management the documented information.

Key Requirements and Experience
  • A graduate in community development from a recognized University;
  • 5 years experience in the same field;
  • Experience in participatory management and programme approaches;
  • Have excellent leadership skills, a team builder and player;
  • Have college and community teaching experience;
  • Having good experience of working in a structured organization;
  • Have a good knowledge on financial management ;
  • Have good analytical, writing and reporting and presentation skills;
  • Reasonable experience in proposal development and programme/project management;
  • Have good ability to guide on resource mobilization;
  • Have strong writing and communication skills;
  • Must be computer literate, conversant with operating software applications; and
  • Experience with donor community will be an added advantage.
2.0 Research & Development Officer
 
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be required to identify and coordinate the research agenda, oversee the implementation of all the community projects / activities as planned by the community development staff within the college mission. 
Document the progress, lessons and challenges experienced within the project life as well as identifying the future potential interventions. 
In addition, the staff will be expected to train students in area of research and community development
 
Key Requirements and Experience
  • Post graduate qualifications in relevant discipline from a well recognized University;
  • 5 years work experience in the area of research and development;
  • Conversant with relevant research-related statistics and soft ware analytical applications;
  • Experience in applied research methods will be essential;
  • Ability and experience in teaching course participants is important;
  • Be good in leadership, communications and documentation skills;
  • Prepare reports and disseminate research findings;
  • Reasonable experience in proposal development and programme/project management;
  • Must have good analytical, writing, reporting and presentation skills;
  • Self-driving, be a team player and highly motivated;
  • Demonstrated professional competence in field research relating to community development or related areas.
3.0 Student Activity Liaison Officer
 
Key Responsibilities
 
The successful candidate will be expected to plan for recruitment and post graduation follow up of certificate and diploma students sponsored by GORTA, maintain the students’ data base, write performance / progress reports of the students on training and those in the field and produce the post graduation case studies of those working with the communities. 
S/he will train students on the area of his/her expertise.

Key Requirements and Experience
  • A Graduate of agricultural community or rural development from a recognized University;
  • At least three year experiencing in a coordinating position in a learning institution;
  • Self-driving, be a team player and highly motivated;
  • Ability and capability to lead, manage and liaise course participants’ activities both on-campus and in communities;
  • Liaising Coordination of education and training curriculum for effective and efficient learning;
  • Have a good institution-based and field M&E analytical and presentation skills;
  • Good in leadership, planning, coordination, and communication skills;
  • Ability and capability to prepare and review course participants and post-graduation activities;
  • Ability and capable of teaching and coordinating learning as a team;
  • Ability to plan and coordinate course participants assessment and post graduation tracer studies and reporting; and
  • Proficiency in computer use and applications.
