Compliance Associate

Reporting to die Risk & Compliance Manager, the jobholder will be responsible for developing, managing and monitoring the respective regulatory, legislative and operational compliance obligation registers and monitor levels of compliance across the Britam group.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Create compliance obligation registers and carry out compliance risk assessments
  • Create compliance surveys and administer the compliance reviews periodically
  • Monitor levels of compliance and escalate compliance breaches as per the compliance breach policy
  • Prepare annual Business Continuity Management testing and exercising plans and execute as per the plan.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience
  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Law or a related discipline
  • Professional qualifications in risk i.e.  qualified or in the process of attaining the qualifications is an added advantage
  • Working experience of at least 3 years in insurance or banking Good understanding of legislation and regulations applicable to the industry
  • Knowledge of compliance management process and business continuity management
  • Strong analytical skills essential for the job.
