Sales Manager, General Insurance 

Ref: BAG/GI/4

Reporting to the General Manager, General Insurance; the job holder will be responsible for growth of the general insurance business from across multiple distribution channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct, guide and supervise branch managers and other sales staff so as to attain the company’s sales targets and market share objectives
  • Develop clear and innovative strategies for market growth and development of new markets
  • Develop and maintain excellent relations with brokers and other channels
  • High level involvement in negotiating key accounts
  • Initiate new product recommendations for market research and development
  • Identify and develop new distribution outlets
  • Assist in designing appropriate sales promotions, competitions and incentive schemes
  • Training and development of the sales team.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience
  • A business related degree or equivalent
  • Relevant professional training  such as ACII or AIIK, CIM
  • 8 years sales and marketing experience particularly with brokers/Independent agencies (IAs)
  • Good Business development skills
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills.
