Medina Palms located in Watamu Kenya is an exclusive 5 Star beach front residential resort, with villas, penthouses, apartments and beautiful landscape.

Job Title: Executive Chef


Job Reference: FB 1
We invite applications for the position of Executive Chef. 
  • The Executive Chef will be innovative and responsible for the entire food and beverage operations consisting of a 100 seat restaurant, bar and residential villas private cooking. 
  • The restaurant food concept will be of Moroccan/Asian Flavors with popular international dishes, along with a cooking flair for fish and shellfish. 
  • We shall provide Tapas as the bar food offering. 
  • The successful candidate will be self motivating to achieve exceptional standards in quality control, kitchen and restaurant management along with training and HACCAP requirements. 
  • We require a minimum of three years experience in a similar position where the restaurant is recognized for its standard and quality of food. 
  • Pre opening experience with the commissioning of kitchen equipment and the setting up of a food and beverage department will be an advantage.
Job Title: Sous Chef

We invite applications for the position of Sous Chef. 
  • The Sous Chef will have a minimum of one years experience in a 5 star restaurant or hotel in a similar position. 
  • The food and beverage operations will consist of a 100 seat restaurant, bar offering Tapas and residential villas private cooking. 
  • The restaurant food concept will be of Moroccan and Asian Flavors with popular international dishes, along with locally caught fish and shellfish. 
  • The successful candidate will be experienced in all sections of a kitchen operation and be responsible for the operation in the Head Chefs absence. 
  • Pre Opening experience and training skills will be an advantage.
Job Title: Pastry Chef and Baker

  • The successful candidate will have a minimum of three experience in a 5 star restaurant or hotel in a similar position and have knowledge in the baking of international breads and pastries. 
  • The food and beverage operations will consist of a 100 seat restaurant, bar and residential villas private cooking. 
  • The restaurant will supply bread and pastries to the residents on site.
Job Title: Chef de Partie

  • The food and beverage operations will consist of a hundred seat restaurant and residential villas private cooking. 
  • The restaurant food concept will be of Moroccan and Asian Flavors with popular international dishes, along with locally caught fish and shellfish

  • The successful candidates will be having experience in the different sections of kitchen operations.

  • The restaurant manager will be responsible for the entire food and beverage services operations consisting of a 100 seat restaurant, bar and residential villas private food and beverage service. 
  • The successful candidate will be self motivating to achieve exceptional standards in restaurant management, quality control, and training. 
  • The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years experience in a similar 5 star restaurant that is recognized for its food and beverage service. 
  • Pre opening experience with the commissioning of a restaurant will be an advantage.
Job Title: Head Barman

  • The successful candidate will be self motivating to achieve exceptional standards in the management of the Bar and beverage service. 
  • The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years experience in a similar position in a 5 star restaurant recognized for its service standards. 
  • Pre opening experience with the commissioning of a new bar and the training of a new bar team will be an advantage.
