Finance and Administration Manager 
Salary: 100k – 120k

Primary Responsibilities

Our client is one of the leading companies in Kenya; it has its offices located In Nairobi. Due to rapid growth, a Finance and Administration vacancy has been created.

The successful candidate should hold hands on experience in a similar position and one that can work under minimum supervision.

Primary responsibility

This position has two major role; finance and administration

Financial

  • Establish and implement financial procedures in line with organisational requirements
  • Ensuring the necessary statements ( trial balance, profit & loss account, balance sheet, debtors list, creditors list etc ) are produced after bookkeeping is done
  • Ensure VAT returns, NSSF, NHIF and PAYE are filed before due date
  • Managing work allocation for the Accounting team
  • Planning and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Review of work carried out by the accountants and assistants
  • undertaking strategic analysis and assisting with strategic planning
  • controlling income, cash flow and expenditure
  • managing budgets
  • developing and managing financial systems/model
Administration
  • Developing team spirit and providing able leadership to Accounting team
  • Establish and implement administration procedures in line with organisational requirement
  • Mentor and train other staff
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as may be bestowed upon by the management from time to time.
Key Skill
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivation, commercial awareness
  • Initiative and the ability to work as part of a team.
  •  Excellent problem-solving, analytical, technical, IT and numerical abilities are crucial.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance MBA Is an added advantage
  • CPA (K)
  • 5+ years experience in Accounting 2 years being in management level.
  • Proven Account Management skills required in order to create, maintain and enhance customer relationships
  • Handles stressful situations and deadlines pressures well
