Technical Sales Consultant

Koppert Biological Systems (K) Ltd. is a subsidiary of Koppert B.V. Netherlands -the international market leader in the field of natural/biological crop protection. 
We are increasing the number of our technical consultants (sales representatives) supporting the Flower and Export-vegetable growers’

Reporting to the commercial manager, the incumbent’s roles and responsibilities will include:
  • Undertake sales of IPM products (biological and associated products) within the designated region.
  • Technical support of growers to ensure proper use of Koppert products and IPM programs.
  • Undertake Training of growers on Integrated Pest Management (IPM), including biological pest control and the safe use of pesticides.
  • Represent the company at trade fairs and exhibitions.
Required qualifications and skills:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture or Agriculture from a recognizeduniversity. • Additional post-graduate qualifications in business/marketing will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales and marketing of crop inputs (biologicals, agrochemicals, fertilizers, seeds, etc.), preferably to largescale, professional growers.
  • Good knowledge and networks in the horticulture/floriculture industry in Kenya.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including formal presentations.
  • Good organisational and negotiation skills.
  • Attention to detail, integrity and self-drive.
  • An amiable team player, able to build and maintain strong relationships.
