Store Keeper

A small hardware in Nakuru, dealing in building tiles and other interior decorations is currently looking for a store keeper to assist in managing its stock.

The incumbent will be expected to:-
  • Maintain stock balances on a designated data storage system.
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciling with data storage system.
  • Print out a daily stock report and hand it over to the sales people every morning detailing the goods available in stock.
  • Inform management about required stock in such a reasonable time so as to ensure there are no stock outs.
  • Be aware and cross check incoming stock to ensure that the codes and quantities are as indicated in the delivery notes.
  • Be on the lookout for any breakages in the incoming stock. Management and the suppliers should be immediately informed in the event of any breakages.
  • Indicate any changes in the product codes if any with respect to customer’s needs.
  • Ensure that only available stock is on display every morning.
  • Note any dead stock and put it on offer in consultation with management.
  • Inform the management of the fast moving stock
  • A diploma in purchases and supply chain management preferable
  • 1 – 2 years work experience
  • Experience using an ERP system will be an added advantage.
Salary: 15 – 20k
