FMCG Company Country Sales Manager Job in Kenya (450K)

Our client, a well established FMCG Company is looking for a Country Sales Manager
She/he will be responsible for sales strategy and execution across the channels of responsibility, driving profitable growth and business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the consistent and sustained effort to achieve sales targets.
  • Ensure the implementation of and adherence to the credit control policy.
  • Meeting volume and value objectives of the assigned channel.
  • Nurturing effective relationships with anchor distributors.
  • Driving customer acquisition and retention, constantly seeking new opportunities to extend the scope of the organization’s business operations.
  • Negotiating sales contracts and operationalization of marketing strategies.
  • Maintaining regular contact with distribution partners to support their business, and to gradually build on the right infrastructure.
  • Evaluating information related to sales, promotions, competition and market intelligence.
  • Developing and presenting effective proposals to all stakeholders.
  • Participate in the development of a strategic sales and marketing plan for all products.
  • Contribute in implementation and expansion distribution channel networks for all company products across the country.
  • Monitor the sales performance of competitors.
  • Create and maintain a distributor database and analyze their strengths and weaknesses.
  • Bachelor’s degree in sales and marketing or a business related field.
  • Membership to a relevant professional body is highly desirable.
  • Must have 10 years’ progressive experience in sales and marketing of FMCGs.
  • Must have over 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated success in nurturing talent and training of sales teams.
  • Must have experience managing a national FMCG sales team.
Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 350,000 – 450,000/= (Approx. 3,500 – 4,500 USD) depending on experience
