Position: Sales Executive

Department: IT Sales

Reports to: IT Sales Manager
Nature and Scope of the Position: The position reports to the Sales Manager.


  • Provide high-level direct client contact with corporate clients.
  • Cultivate relationships at the highest levels of top Blue-Chip companies
  • Drive revenue through long-term, high-dollar contacts.
  • Develop new markets as needed by clients.
  • Responsible for selling new, high-end, and complex products and multi-platform packages.
  • Consult with clients on their printing needs and creatively design solution packages.
  • Provide feedback to the rest of the organization on how to better satisfy client needs.
  • Expected to generate a high volume of sales-related activity including prospecting, presentations, RFPs, etc.
  • Develop & maintain revenue streams in existing named accounts..
  • Consult with clients to maximize Company return on investment.
  • Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as requested.
  • Strong relationship building with key corporate clients
  • Excellent customer service to existing and new clients.
  • Ensuring adherence to Internal Control Systems as per the ISO Quality Management Systems.
Other specific duties
  • Conduct day to day sales activities- Giving quotations to clients according to their requirements but not later than 24hrs
  • Identify and qualify prospects-Opening New Accounts
  • Generating sales / business for the company
  • Work closely with other members of staff-.Working as a Team to do proposals and closing deals
  • Debt collection: Ensure clients pay in good time as per the agreed credit terms.
  • Identify customer requirements:  Meeting  customers needs with minimal hassle
  • Design customer solutions that suits the customers needs
  • Account (key) management: Think about keeping the customer on a long term basis
  • Participates proactively in company sales and marketing meetings
  • To undertake other duties as and when requested


  • Diploma in IT
  • 4 Years Experience in sales
  • Degree in Marketing or MBA in Sales & Marketing


  • 2 years in senior sales position

Complexity and difficulty of the work: A demanding job that requires high level of accuracy and integrity and demands efficient working relationships with managers and other members of staff

Successful performance standards

  • Revenue generation as per the target with weekly sales report
  • New account opening and daily updating of information in sage pastel system
  • Healthy funnel and sales report- daily update on leads and opportunity in system
  • Tender and Proposal writing that presents a world class company and adheres to tender and Quality Assurance system in company
  • Timeliness and ability to meet set deadlines
  • Customer retention- monthly review meeting on all allocated accounts. Minutes to be copied to sales manager inbox.
  • High level of accuracy on pricing and margins
  • High level of confidentiality- does not disclose company confidential information to outsiders.
  • Customer service: – answer all phone calls in a professional manager within 2 rings, meet and exceed customer expectation and give response and update with 2 hours. Reduce the number of Dropped calls and opportunities to less than 1% of all calls on a monthly basis.
  • Escalates any unresolved issues with 24Hrs to the  sales manager or managing Director.
  • Attendance to sales meeting and quality contribution in all cases.
