Web Designer / Developer

Number of Positions:

Responsibilities: Since all our writing services are provided online, our business relies on intuitive, appealing and user-friendly web interfaces. 

These systems manage almost all our operations and allow our customers, writers and customer care agents to interact with each other effectively.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated web designer / developer to join us and help maintain and develop our existing systems and produce new websites as required. 


In addition, the individual who fills this position may be required to offer technical support on a regular basis.

Education and Skills:
  • Diploma or Degree in any field. A BS degree in Computer Science or a related field is an added advantage.
  • Excellent in web design – proven experience in developing good looking and user-friendly web interfaces.
  • Excellent knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Excellent knowledge of PHP. Knowledge of Kohana 2 PHP framework is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of C, C++ or Python programming languages is an added advantage.
  • Excellent knowledge of JavaScript and related technologies (JQuery and Ajax).
  • Excellent knowledge of the Structured Query Language (SQL). Knowledge and experience in MySQL DBMS is mandatory.
  • Can develop on Windows and Linux platforms. Experience developing and deploying applications in Debian and/or CentOS Linux servers is an added advantage.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Proactive and self motivated.
  • A fast leaner. Willingness and ability to learn and apply new ideas quickly is vital.
  • Can work under pressure and deliver against strict deadlines.
