Profile Introduction: Our client, a leading and one of the fastest growing FMCG companies in the consumer health market operating in over 60 locations with presence in 6 continents is seeking to recruit a Key Accounts Manager based in Kenya.

 

The Key Accounts Manager would be responsible for developing and implementing the sales strategy per customer in alignment with the organization’s strategic and financial objectives and to manage the customer relationship on an ongoing basis.

Minimum Requirements

  • Graduate with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in commercial subject
  • At least three years’ experience in territorial sales or account management.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and is mobile.
Job Specification
  • Responsible for achieving strategic and financial objectives per customer.
  • Building long term partnership with the customer.
  • Responsible for the promotional strategy per customer, and promotional execution (including trade budget management, range and space optimization).
  • Responsible for managing customer negotiations in relation to the organization commercial strategy and the customer trading terms.
  • Implementation and ongoing management of the category strategy per customer.
  • Responsible for developing customer new product launch plans and ensuring successful implementation.
  • Continuous improvement in the management of the account by identifying opportunities for efficiency and profitability and overall improvement in the management of categories.
  • Supervision of account specific merchandising team in in-store execution.
 Competencies
  • Business and financial acumen: Understands differential resource deployment, demonstrate ability to develop budgets and conduct customer P & L analysis.
  • Ability to work out sales deals that will accomplish budgeted margin and will correspond to the company policies.
  • Account Management & negotiation skills: Is able to understand, influence and adapt key Customer and stakeholder needs.
  • Seizes accountability – drive for results.
  • Commercial acumen: demonstrate account management & negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in excel (analysis & reporting).
  • Acts Decisively – timely & quality decision making.
  • Holds People Accountable – Managerial Courage & Managing & Measuring Work.
