Our client, a fast growing medium sized organization in the office supplies industry is seeking to recruit focused self-driven and aggressive individuals of high level of integrity for the position of sales executive.  
The successful candidates will join the team of other sales executives to sell and market the company’s products to secondary schools all over the country in line with the company growth strategy
 

 

Reporting: Marketing  manager
Liaison: Sales and marketing department

Job Summary:
The incumbent of this position shall be responsible for prospecting, selling and marketing to head teachers in secondary schools as well as getting orders for office equipments.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Make and receive calls to head teachers with regards to the products on sale, giving product information
  • Answering any questions from the client about the product while providing quality customer service on every call.
  • Attend teachers’ conferences and workshops to promote the company and its products and obtain contacts from the principals.
  • Follow up the clients for orders while ensuring to maximize of the size of the order
  • Communicating with the procurement department of the orders taken, the agreed delivery date and follow up to ensure the order is ready in time
  • Make delivery arrangements of orders obtained and carry the receipt book, invoice and delivery book during delivery.
  • Obtain cheques from client during delivery according to the mode of payment agreed
  • Liaise with the operation and accounts office during delivery and after delivery of the goods.
  • Make after sale follow up to pay or to find out if the product is of value and if they need something else
  • Seek to get referrals from existing clients to grow your customer base
  • Make daily reports on the calls made, orders taken , feedback from the calls etc and submit to the marketing manager
  • Collect competitors information on prices, customers, delivery etc in the market and share it in the daily reports and during the weekly meetings
  • Any other duty as me be prescribed by your manager
Qualification, Competencies Required
  • A diploma in any business related fields.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure; flexible and adaptable
  •  Hard-working and trustworthy
  • Be willing to travel nationally
