Roles and Duties
To develop sales leads and company introduction
Follow up on sales leads developed by others such as directors and marketing executive
Work closely with pre-sales personnel (tech dept.) to meet prospective clients’ needs
Link top management (directors) to sales leads- foot in the door
Source and develop client referrals
Make sales calls to new and existing clients
Assist marketing executive in preparation of tenders and proposals
Implement follow up on list of potential clients to follow with cold calls, emails and visits (list shall encompass architects, project managers, building contractors, government ministries, etc)
Follow on leads developed from all new construction that goes on within Nairobi and country as a whole
Meeting sales targets set by managers and contributing to team targets
Ensure customer service satisfaction and good client relationships follow up on sales activity
Perform quality checks on product and service delivery
Monitor and report on sales activities and follow up for management
Report on competition activity
Negotiating and closing deals with customers with guidance from top management
Set up high level meetings for directors to close deals
The candidate shall be required to be:
- Goal driven
- Work well with little or no supervision
- Trustworthy
- A good level of technical understanding with enthusiasm for new technology and its commercial uses;
- 2-5 years’ experience in sales
- Outgoing
- Have a degree
- Experience in making presentations
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets
Remuneration: Base salary of KSH 20000-30000 depending on experience and expertise, with a target based compensation strategy there afterwards (commission or bonus).
