Job Title: Territory Sales Manager

Purpose

  • Leads and manages a sales team working across multiple channels to ensure flawless execution of sales and commercial strategies
  • Responsible for achievement and exceeding of sales targets within the territory
  • Develop and grow the capabilities of the sales team

Key Accountabilities
  • Development
    of the area sales plan, which includes sales goals for team, budget,
    allocation of resources and serving of market. Area sales plan to
    specific market, channels, product range and new products
  • Conduct analytical performance reviews of distributors and sales teams with a formal assessment monthly
  • Lead, direct and monitor sales team in the implementation of the sales plan to meet company objectives
  • Ensure full SKU listing in all trade channels in region as specified
  • Identify the track trends of 20% of outlets that give 80% of business value by major SKU’s
  • Accomplish set area primary and secondary sales targets
  • Ensure
    distributors operate within agreed credits terms with EEAL. Establish
    validity of distributors discounts and incentive payout, ensuring all
    agreed company procedures are followed before authorization
  • Develop distribution network to its full potential by recruiting, training and evaluating distributor performance
  • Hold regular performance meetings with your team to discuss business development plans
  • Ensure sales training and development for sales representatives and auxiliary sales teams to increase performance levels
  • Report
    monthly on trends and activities related to sales region, competition,
    pricing as well as new market/product opportunities, effectiveness of
    marketing programs and recommending changes.
  • Participate In development of marketing strategies for different channels within region supervised
  • Ensure proper communication of promotional activities to distributors and trade
  • Ensure proper merchandising, product display, POS usage, promotional activities to support marketing strategies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business related course, Marketing is an added advantage
  • Must have at least 3 years’ experience in the FMCG industry
  • Must have proven track of good territory management skills
  • Should be at least 25 years and above
