A well-established firm in the textile industry based in Nairobi seeks to engage with a professional,
dynamic and self-respecting talent in the position of:-

Sales Manager
Main Purpose of the Job: Coordinate sales and collection of payment by managing the sales force to realize Sales Plan while ensuring optimization of costs.
Main Responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing sales strategies for increase of market share and profitability on sustainable basis in line with the Business Plan
  • As the Line Manager, carrying out engagement and training of sales assistants in consultation with the General Manager.
  • To ensure company sales policy; credit period is adhered to and collection of payment from the distributors and retail chains.
  • To develop cost effective weekly sales itinerary cum route plan that minimizes wastage of resources and time but achieves maximum results to the sales team.
  • To manage, monitor, appraise and evaluate the performance of the sales assistants to ensure delivery of targets. As well as setting sales targets for the sales assistants in alignment with the set strategic plan.
  • Analyzing sales statistics, preparing reports and handling sales administrative duties like scheduling appointments and making travel plans.
  • Preparation and submission of detailed weekly and monthly reports to present to the General Manager
  • Arranging for promotional programs, in store displays, merchandising, advertising and branding activities.
  • To analyze stock movement/availability
  • Address clients questions, feedbacks and concerns
  • Continuous prospecting for business growth and development
  • Preparing, Managing, monitoring and reporting of the related departmental budgetary allocations
  • Talent management including coaching, mentoring, developing, motivating, training and evaluating staff to achieve highest levels of performance
  • Identifying, implementing and benchmarking best practices in management
  • Implementing change initiatives to achieve desired business plans and culture

Academic Qualifications& Experience

  • Minimum 3-4 years relevant experience
  • Proven track record of successful sales strategies implementation
