Country Delivery Manager
Job purpose: This role is designed to facilitate the execution of NBV’s business strategy, in Rwanda. 
The role is a change driver, accountable for the identification and development of new business opportunities and management of stakeholder relationships with support from the Delivery Manager in NBV Kenya.
 
The role shall also own the NBV partner engagement model for all business partners that NBV shall engage with. 

 

These partnerships are critical to NBV’s business model to develop and enhance a value-chain that is effective and efficient in delivering customer value.

Key Responsibilities and percentages:

  • Engagement, design and delivery of programmes oriented to business milestones to minimize gaps in strategic business alignment. (10%)
  • As the key change driver for the country/region, deliver approved projects within 10% variance of project time, cost and quality objectives. (20%)
  • Working with initiative owners, realize at least 90% of expected benefits from each programme. (10%)
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for the Division’s target market or generate synergies for other business lines . (20%)
  • Own and manage the Division’s partner engagement model to optimize our client’s competitive advantage in the assigned country/region. (20%)
  • Regulatory engagement and compliance, with respect to the Division’s products and services. (10%)
  • Delivery of operational efficiencies through consistent processes for monitoring, controlling & reporting on process deliverables and resource utilization. (10%)
Main Activities
  • Executes our client project governance framework and is manage the design and execution of all strategic initiatives for the assigned country/region.
  • Establish a control framework that proactively monitors and reports on project execution against the defined metrics and policy/best –practice, responding effectively to noted deviations against established project governance standards.
  • New business development, to identify and develop proposals for enhancing customer value and retaining earned value for our client, with new products/services and channels.
  • Build and maintain a partner network of suppliers and co-innovators to promote the strategic positioning and competencies of our client.
  • Objective on customer focus within the function, attaining a strong rating in customer and stakeholder surveys.
  • Objective on client communication to assure alignment of customer and partner engagement to business strategy.
  • Contribute to the innovation framework within the business line to facilitate the systematic generation, selection and implementation of value adding ideas.
  • Objective on operational excellence to attain and maintain best-in-class QOS.
  • Regulatory engagement to assure compliance to regulation and positively influence the bank-regulator relationship.

  • Interpersonal skills to effectively build and influence relationships and manage customer expectations (internal and external), and other stakeholders who impact performance.
  • Knowledge and effective application of all relevant banking policies, processes, procedures and guidelines to consistently achieve required compliance standards or benchmarks.
Qualifications and Experience Requirement
  • At least an undergraduate degree or its equivalent in commercial financial or quantitative discipline.
  • Professional qualification in Project Management is an advantage e.g. Prince II
  • Experience with business analysis, project management or product development
  • Preferably a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in highly automated environment, including at least 3 years in Business Analysis and/or Project Management related areas.
  • Stakeholder management with multi-functional objectives/goals
  • Tech-savvy
  • Experience with office automation tools
