Manufacturing Industry Head of Maintenance Job in Kajiado, Kenya (70K)

Our client a market leader in the manufacturing / FMCG industry across Africa is seeking to recruit a Head of Maintenance
The ideal candidate shall also execute both administrative and organizational roles and ascertain that all maintenance activities are seamlessly completed whilst upholding the quality and standards of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the skills and performance of the maintenance team.
  • Carry out regular in house training for the maintenance team.
  • Comply with all corporate policies & the occupational safety and health administration rules (OSHA).
  • Place orders for spare parts & equipment for replacement & ascertain proper documentation.
  • Synchronize work processes with other departments of the establishment.
  • Participate in the recruitment of maintenance personnel.
  • Conduct regular inspections and ensuring the proper upkeep & maintenance in the breeders, hatchery & broilers facilities.
  • Design maintenance programs & implement preventative maintenance programs.
  • Manage maintenance expenditure & ensure control of set budget.
  • Ensure proper working of all electrical units and systems in the facilities.
  • Lead entire maintenance team and ensure effective delegation of tasks.
  • Keep a record of all the day-to-day maintenance and service activities undertaken in the facilities.
  • Must have a degree / diploma in mechanical engineering.
  • Experience in manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.
  • Effective people management skills.
  • Must have a minimum of 8 years experience managing a factory.
  • Ability to perform at a high level, constantly with proven experience.
  • Effective project management.
  • Computer literate.
  • Being analytical and strategic.
  • Good leadership & decision making skills.
Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 60,000 – 70,000/= (Approx. 600 – 700 USD) depending on experience
