People Operations Director (East Africa) Job in Nairobi, Kenya for a Chain of Primary and Pre-Primary Schools (700K)

The world’s largest and fastest-growing Chain of Primary and Pre-Primary Schools is seeking to recruit a People Operations Director – East Africa, who will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations within the administration team and executing strategic talent acquisition and management to be based in Nairobi, Kenya. 
The successful candidate MUST have strong retail / commercial experience in a multicultural set-up with a strong background in operations and people management.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Custodian of employee experience for a diverse workforce.
  • Promote employee satisfaction by creating authentic avenues for critical engagement between/among employees across functions.
  • Execute people life cycle processes efficiently and in a fair and transparent manner, underlined by empathy.
  • Ensure smooth operations within the administration team.
  • Continually improve the efficiency and service delivery of this critical function, with a critical eye on costs.
  • Align company processes and policies with best practices and employment/labour regulations to minimize exposure to litigation.
  • Empower business leaders to lead, mentor and inspire their teams to perform better.
  • Execute strategic talent acquisition and talent management.
  • Leverage technology heavily to improve the employee experience around life cycle processes.
Qualifications;
  • Must have a Degree in business management or related field.
  • Masters’ educational qualification would be an added advantage.
  • Must have 8 years plus in FMCG sector.
  • Must have above 2 years in a senior management position.
  • Must have had an operational role in current or previous employment.
  • Must be 35 years and above.
  • Good working knowledge of East Africa.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Multinational experience would be an added advantage.
  • Must have people management skills.
  • Must be self motivated.
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills.
Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 700,000/= (Approx. 7,000 USD)
