Front Office Manager – Three Star Hotel

Introduction: Our Client is a well-established and recently refurbished three star hotels seeks to recruit a House Front Office Manager reporting to the General Manager.
Job Brief: The job holder will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and smooth operation within reception and guest areas to ensure that visitors and clients are received in an excellent and professional manner and that all reception areas operate a high quality service at all times.


Specific duties will include;
  • Upholds the hotel’s commitment to hospitality.
  • Controlling the availability of rooms and the day-to-day functions of the Front Office, such as handling as guest arrival or departure and information requests.
  • Coach and counsel employees to ensure adherences to hotel policies, standards and procedures.
  • Trains, cross –train, and retrain all front office personnel.
  • Coordinate daily, weekly &monthly staff meetings that address any outstanding issues and record the minutes as well as record the agenda.
  • Participate in the selection of front office personnel.
  • Schedule the front office staff.
  • Supervise workload during shifts.
  • Evaluate the job performance of each front office employee.
  • Maintain working relationships and communicate with all departments.
  • Verify that accurate room status information is maintained and properly communicated.
  • Resolve guest problems quickly, efficiently, and courteously.
  • Update group information. Maintains, monitors, and prepares group requirements. Relays information to appropriate personnel.
  • Minimum Diploma in Housekeeping from a recognized institution. A Bachelor’s degree will be an added advantage
  • At least 4 years’ experience  in front office  2 of which must be as a front office supervisor  in a 4 to 5 star environment
A gross salary of between 60,000 and 80,000 dependant on qualifications and experience
