Corporate Affairs Director Job in Kenya (1.3M) – Primary and Pre-Primary Schools Chain

The world’s largest and fastest-growing chain of Primary and Pre-Primary Schools is seeking to recruit a Corporate Affairs Director, who will be responsible for building strategic relationships with key stakeholders in the government, the private sector and civil society. 
The successful candidate MUST have a strong background in corporate affairs, which will include ownership and strategic management of internal and external communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage strategic stakeholder management with donors / NGO and other important influencers.
  • Work with local, regional and national officials and groups.
  • Work with key stakeholders in consultative efforts to drive reforms in the delivery of education to underserved communities.
  • Identify opportunities and work with partners in the private sector.
  • Identify CSR partners in the private sector to strengthen market presence and delivery.
  • Plan, develop, administer and evaluate programs, activities and daily operations related to the governmental affairs support function.
  • Coordinate complex interactions with legislators, legislative staff, other local and state officials, federal agency staff and other government officials/staff.
  • Lead proactive and reactive media relations, social media, web-based communications, and crisis communications.
  • Work very closely with the global corporate affairs team.
Qualifications
  • Must have a Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Must have over 10 years’ experience handling public and media relations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with Kenyan media, including local, national and regional media across print, broadcast and online.
  • Crisis communication skills.
  • Experience acting as an on-the-record spokesperson.
  • Prior experience within a fast-paced, metric driven consulting or educational organization.
  • Ability to draft press releases, statements, opinion pieces and press materials.
  • Traditional and social media monitoring and crisis communication skills.
Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 1,300,000/= (Approx. 13,000 USD)
