Medical Equipment and Service Contracts Technical Sales Representative Job in Kenya (30K)

Our client is a dynamic Business that specializes in sales of Medical Equipment and Service contracts is looking to recruit a Technical Sales Representative
The ideal candidate MUST have experience in selling technical products to customers’ particularly civil engineering and construction equipment. 
He/she is required to have strong knowledge of technical equipment, including the functions and components that enable the products to work. 

 

The candidate will also be required to promote and sell the product by demonstrating how it works along with the benefits it can offer potential customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the sales activities in the territory in collaboration with the local partner.
  • Contribute to develop sales strategies and setting sales targets with the East Africa sales manager.
  • Promote controls in Kenya, introducing our technical specifications in the main tenders.
  • Collaborate with the local partner and divert enquiries to the headquarter/partner.
  • Source influential traders in certain projects or public utilities and form.
  • Keep up to date with products and competitor activity.
  • Monitoring the local traders’ performance and motivating them to reach targets.
  • Collect customer feedback and market research.
  • Sourcing potential new customers and maintaining regular contact with existing customers.
  • Persuading potential customers to purchase products, leading price negotiations and closing sales.
  • Advising customers of updates and new technologies.
  • Being familiar with competitors’ activities and products.
  • Putting together proposals and tender documents.
  • Travelling to and attending meetings.
  • Arranging for seminars and continuous education programs to create awareness on a company’s product.
Qualifications
  • Must have a degree is sales and marketing (specialized in technical sales).
  • Engineering graduates with a sales and marketing background will have an added advantage.
  • Experience in the construction industry.
  • Enthusiastic, excellent communication and people skills.
  • Good planning and organizational skills.
  • The ability to work calmly under pressure.
  • Good IT, budget and report writing skills.
  • Valid driving license.
  • The ability to motivate and lead a team.
  • Management, coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Used to travel in the East African region.
Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 30,000/= (Approx. 300 USD)
