Introduction: Our Client is a renowned, Public Relations and Strategic Communication firm in the region and is a brand partner of one of the global PR firms.
We seek to recruit an experienced self-driven and proactive individual; well versed in developing, refining and implementing strategic growth opportunities within and between organizations as well as customer markets.

Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Communication, Marketing or related Business Course.
- A Master’s Degree in Strategic Management / Business Administration / International Business / Marketing is an added advantage.
- Holding a marketing professional qualification will be an added advantage.
Experience
- At least 5 years hands on experience in planning, developing and growing new business in a service organization. Candidates with business to business experience will have an added advantage.
- Self-driven and motivated and able to work under minimum supervision
- The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to innovate concepts in communication products and services and sell them to diverse audiences.
- The role requires and individual who is adaptable to different business development methodologies spanning from traditional responding to RFPs to relationship driven business development.
- The individual should have strong verbal and presentation skills and the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Prior experience in brand building/ managing clients in the Public Relations/ communication/ Marketing and advertising industry will be an added advantage in the expansion of existing client base.

Job Summary
Reporting to: Director – Client Development and Strategic Services
Supervising: Business Development Executives
Collaboration with: Accounts Management & Client Services Unit
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the formulation of business development strategies in line with the strategic plan of the organization; set and ensure the achievement of client acquisition targets in key segments, profitability and growth.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
New Business Development
- Proactively identify and stratify a base of ideal clients that the Firm has the opportunity to win, serve and lock; plan for acquisition of ideal clients who seeks the Firm’s value proposition;
- Execute the Business Development strategy to market the Firm’s offerings; identify and generate business leads and close on prospective clients, as per set targets;
- Develop and manage a prospect pipeline to identify and track market intelligence to convert new business opportunities into clients;
- Plan approaches and pitches – Work with the account teams to develop proposals and prequalification that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
Client Retention
- Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services and products to enhance existing relationships in the Product & Service Industry;
- Develop, implement, follow through, co-ordinate and report on all client satisfaction surveys for all the existing Firm’s clients at the end of the project, semi-annually and annually.
Management and Research
- Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends;
- Present business development training and mentoring to account teams to contribute effectively to proposal and other business development efforts.
Branding
- Develop, refine and execute the firm’s brand building initiatives and be the champion for establishing the firm’s differentiated strategic market position based on its offerings,
- Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
