Vacancy: Project Coordinator
Duration: 10 Months
The Centre of Excellence in Women and Child Health. Aga Khan University is looking for a responsible Project Coordinator who will run, administer and organize project activities in cooperation with and under the direction of the Project Manager. 
The project will entail the planning and coordination of the 3rd Edition of the Safe Mothers and Newborns Leadership Workshop,, convened by an academic consortium composed of AKU, is Global and the MHTF-Harvard School of Public Health


  • Coordinate activities, resources, equipment and information
  • Coordinate the Scientific Advisory Committee to develop the program of the Leadership Workshop
  • Make certain that protect needs are met as the project evolves
  • Help prepare program, timeframes, schedule and budget monitoring
  • Monitor and track project’s progress and handle any issues that arise
  • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status adequately to all stakeholders (partners, faculty, workshop participants, donors. j
  • Use project management tools to monitor budget, plans and expenses
  • Draft all appropriate legal paperwork
  • Liaise with suppliers/vendors locally
  • Produce project reports and other documentation as may be required.
  • BS/BA in a related field and/or MPH. MD or Nurse will be a plus
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management in health, preferentially Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health
  • Previous experience in cooperating with Project Managers for the delivery of projects /training and education projects
  • Excellent internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
