Business Development Executives Careers in Kenya

Sheer Logic is currently seeking strong, experienced Business Development Executives who will be responsible for business development and sales of the products and services.

Reporting to: Business Development  Manager
Job Location: Headquarters

Overall Purpose: The Business Development Executive is the bridge between the company and clients and is the first point of contact for clients. 


Their responsibility is to meet and exceed sales goals for an assigned portfolio of accounts by promoting and selling products and services through professional, consultative sales techniques and long term relationships. 
They will also work as part of a team and are required to ensure team success.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Revenue Generation

  • Selling to existing and potential customers to meet and exceed sales revenue targets.
  • Selling the Company brand of services aggressively in the market.
  • Development of accurate, rapid cost calculations, and providing customers with quotations.
  • Review sales performance and maintain healthy pipeline, establish plans which aim, to meet or exceed targets.
Customer Service and Client Relationship
  • Manage customer relationships to ensure continued business and good corporate image.
  • Deliver presentations of products at customer sites.
  • Ensure effective distribution and dissemination of marketing materials to E-Plus target market to meet brand awareness objectives.
  • Manage client relationships, including making telephone and face-to-face sales calls to current clients on a timely basis to uncover opportunities and advance the sales process.
Product Development
  • Constantly monitor changing customer needs & Assist in the development of new products and services
  • Provide feedback from current and potential customers to enhance product performance and service delivery;
  • Assist in the identification of opportunities for new products and for enhancement and development of existing products;
Market Intelligence and Analysis
  • Monitor and report on the activities of competitors and potential collaborators and to identify business opportunities and threats;
  • Understand the market in which the company operates and how the company‚Äôs products and services are used within that market;
  • Identify new markets, both geographical and by industry sector, for company products
  • Ensure effective distribution and dissemination of marketing materials to E-Plus target market to meet brand awareness objectives.
  • Contribute to strategic planning by providing timely Market intelligence to ensure informed decisions.
  • Feeding future buying trends back to employers.
Portfolio Management and Reporting
  • Prepare weekly progress and status reports of sales activities or as requested
  • Ensuring that all sales administration is completed to a high standard including letter writing, keeping database up-to-date etc…
  • Collating and producing sales plans and reports as required.
  • Managing your account portfolio, including account prioritization, timely outreach to contacts, current, complete and accurate account notes
  • Submitting an accurate forecast to the Sales Manager on a weekly basis
  • Submitting pipeline reports and Daily, weekly and monthly sales reports as per the guidelines
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Diploma in Business Management.
  • Minimum 3 year sales experience.
Key Competencies:
  • Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations.
  • Ability to deliver a successful product demo.
  • Ability to build rapport with potential clients.
  • Excellent written and oral communicator.
  • Vast experience giving business presentations to team members and clients.
  • The ability to work both independently and as a team player.
  • To work calmly under pressure.
Remuneration: Commission Based
