FMCG Distributor Van Sales Representatives and Key Account Handler Jobs in Kenya

Hasbah Kenya Limited one of the leading FMCG distributor in Kenya, are seeking to recruit highly ambitious candidates to fill in the following positions in Kenya:
Van Sales Representatives
The VSR is accountable for delivering superior volume and superior In-store presence (Distribution, Pricing, shelving and Merchandising as per RPS) in all the VSR stores of your section. 
The VSR reports to the Distributor Extension Manager.
The positions are in Kisumu, Nakuru, Mombasa, Eldoret & Nairobi


Principal Accountabilities
  • Deliver volume, coverage and sales fundamentals targets.
  • Ensure regular coverage of all VSR customers in your section. Coverage frequency is once a week.
  • Follows strictly the VSR daily route plan and apply strictly the selling skills in all stores.
  • Sell in all stores the recommended retail price (PRP) and brand initiatives to all customers.
  • Ensure that all SKU sold are displayed on shelf as per shelf space/ or on hangers by deploying effectively and efficiently all POSM targeted at VSR stores and create events that “wow” customers
  • Build outstanding goodwill with the VSR decision makers. “Own the Store”.
  • Achieve expected Golden store target on route.
  • Sell on cash basis. No credit authorized.
  • You will be responsible for timely and accurate reports to the DSR/MSR
  • Any other Sales related activity as may be delegated by the Distributor Extension Manager
Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge
  • MUST have a valid Driving license and know how to drive Sales Vans
  • Minimum of a Diploma in Sales and Marketing.
  • 2 years’ experience working as a Van Sales Representative in the FMCG
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to meet targets
  • Experience in sales is a must
Key Account Handler
The Key Account Handler (KAH) is accountable for delivering superior volume and superior In-store presence (Distribution, Pricing, shelving and Merchandising as per RPS) in all the Key Account stores of your section. 
The KAH reports to the Distributor Extension Manager. 
The positions are in Kisumu, Nyeri, Eldoret & Nairobi

Principal Accountabilities
  • Introduce the company profile and communicate the products available.
  • Conduct prospects for new clients to identify and develop new accounts.
  • Responsible for managing and servicing key accounts.
  • Maintaining long term relationships with accounts and maximizing sales opportunities.
  • Increase sales and supervise the sales process by following up on orders, deliveries and collections.
  • Prepare weekly or monthly sales reports.
  • Provide market feedback to the Key Account Manager & Sales Managers regarding movement of products.
  • Participate in sales and marketing activities & meetings.
  • Ensure payment of receivables in a timely manner.
  • Spot and utilize commercial opportunities in new accounts.
  • Build and maintain effective customer relationships in order to build strong loyalty.
  • Handle and respond to existing products queries from clients quickly, effectively and accurately.
  • Provide customers with the appropriate selection, sampling of products in response of their inquiries and provide quotations accordingly.
  • Provide solutions and solve problems to customers in given accounts.
  • Anticipate the client’s needs and provide appropriate solutions to meet these needs.
  • Stay abreast of the market conditions and trends in the field pertinent to products.
Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge
  • Degree/ Diploma in Business, Sales & Marketing
  • Minimum 2- 3 years’ experience handling key Accounts Sales.
  • Experience and knowledge in field sales especially FMCG
  • Must have a valid driving licence
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Honest and a person of integrity.
