Business Development Officer (KMAP)

Location: Farm Africa Kenya Office

Duration: Annual contract (renewable based on performance)

The Farm Africa Kenya country office is currently seeking to recruit a business officer for the implementation of Farm Africa’s Kenya Market-led Aquaculture Programme (KMAP).

KMAP project is focusing on the private sector with the main goal is to increase the level and quality of fish production, trade and increase overall consumption of cultured fish in Kenya.

This innovative project builds on Farm Africa’s experience in developing aquaculture focussed on the private aquaculture industry to create a sustainable and accessible market for farmers to sell high quality produce.

The area of intervention is West Kenya and Nairobi.

The (Agri) Business Development Officer will be based in Kisumu, and will be responsible for supporting the KMAP team and project clients along the aquaculture value chain in market orientation and proper business skills development.

A degree in business or preferably agri-business or another related field, with 5 years private sector experience is required. Previous engagement with the agribusiness sector is an advantage.
