Kakamega County Water and Sanitation Company Ltd is a county corporation mandated to provide Water and Sanitation Services within the County of Kakamega.

Quality Assurance Manager

Job Scale 3

This will be an officer working under the technical manager in charge of overall quality assurance.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement water quality surveillance schedules and activities in all Areas and Schemes.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of water safety plan
  • Coordinate all environmental pollution control activities to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and guidelines.
  • Prepare manpower and budgetary planning for the section;
  • Administers and directs all laboratory activities on quality assurance control, research and technical investigation; and
  • Processes and interprets quality assurance data as well as networking and team work.
  • Record and share results of the analysis and advice corrective action as appropriate
  • Develop quality assurance policies and procedures
  • Plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure quality water production
  • Monitor risk management activities related to water quality and production
  • Ensure accreditation of the lab

Education, Professional Qualifications and Work Experience

  • BSC. Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Environmental sciences;
  • Relevant professional qualifications in the water sector
  • At least five (5) years relevant experience ,3 of which at a management level
  • Have wide experience in the water sector.
  • Demonstrated outstanding leadership capability;
  • Have high degree of integrity and dependability
  • Have good interpersonal relations and communication skills
