Warehouse Manager Job in Morogoro, Tanzania

Duma Works is recruiting a Warehouse Manager for one of our clients in Tanzania. 
The hiring company provides reliable, off-grid power to communities and businesses in rural areas.
Location: The position will be based out of the warehouse in Morogoro, Tanzania and will require occasional travel to Dar es Salaam.
Role Summary: The hiring company is seeking an organised and experienced warehouse manager to join their team in Tanzania. 


This position is independent and key to new operations, requires a high level of responsibility and initiative.
Position Objective
  • Ensure the proper stock and inventory management of our warehouse
  • Maintain good housekeeping at our facilities
  • Support and oversee the logistics of equipment movement
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Management
  • Liaison with customers, suppliers and transport companies
  • Planning, coordinating and monitoring the receipt, order and dispatch of goods
  • Maintain health and safety including proper manual and mechanical handling procedures
  • Support Monthly audit of materials
  • Ensure inventories are accurate
  • Produce regular reports
  • Ensure security is tight and report any risks or concerns
Training and Service Center Management
  • Manage the scheduling of training facility
  • Assist with training of new electricians
  • Provide logistical assistance to service engineers for large scale maintenance works
Procurement and Logistics
  • Support core team with the procurement of new items and logistics of getting it to warehouse
  • Process orders
  • Assist in the development of inventory management processes and manage the warehouse accordingly.
  • Bachelor’s degree is bonus; a relevant advanced degree is strongly preferred
  • Qualification in distribution, logistics, management or transportation is beneficial
Relevant Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience managing logistics, inventory and stock
  • Excellent oral and writing skills, with fluency in both English and Swahili
  • Have a high degree of professionalism and discipline
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadline in an independent capacity. To be a self-starter and self-motivator, working effectively with minimal direction
