TVET CDAC Council Chief Executive Officer (CEO) / Council Secretary Job in Kenya (270K)

The Technical Vocational Education and Training Curriculum Development Assessment and Certification Council (TVET CDACC) is a State Corporation established under the TVET Act No. 29 of 2013 to undertake design and development of curricula for training institutions, assessment and competence certification hence promote access, equity, quality and relevance of TVET system.
TVET CDAC Council seeks to fill the position of the Council Secretary / Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Minimum Qualifications
  • A minimum of Master’s degree in a TVET related area from a recognized institution.
  • A Bachelors’ degree or its equivalent qualifications in a TVET related area from a recognized institution.
  • Demonstrate professional competence in managing competency based curriculum development, competency based assessment and certification.
  • Has served in a position of senior management for at least five (5) years and has a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the relevant field.
  • Demonstrate thorough understanding of National goals, polices and development objectives including the Kenya Vision 2030.
  • Shown merit and abilities as reflected in work performance and results.
  • Have basic Computer Skills.
  • Meet the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution.
  • Meets the requirements of the fit and proper test.
  • Be a Kenyan citizen.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for the day to day operations of the secretariat subject to the direction of the Council.
  • Ensure preparation of the annual budgets and establish proper internal controls.
  • Provide leadership in development, review and enforcement of regulations, standards and guidelines to ensure equitable access to quality and relevant TVET system.
  • Be responsible for stakeholder management and enhancement of the corporate image of the Council.
  • Ensure that TVET CDACC has effective management structure
  • Ensure the Council delivers on its mandate as stipulated in the TVET Act 2013.
  • Ensure prudent and efficient utilization of both human and financial resources of the Council
  • Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Council from time to time.
Terms of Service
The successful candidate will hold office for a term of five (5) years eligible for re-appointment for one other term. 
The basic salary attached to this position shall range between Ksh 110,000-270,000 exclusive of all allowances.

  2. Clearance from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
  3. Tax compliance certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
  4. Clearance from Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
  5. Clean report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
