Our client is a government entity of the United Arab Emirates in the Utilities space and is looking for suitable candidates for the below positions;

1. Foreman – SS Emergency & Cable

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To perform inspection and checking of MV/LV switchgears, trouble-shooting
  • Complaint rectification
  • Wiring and wiring rectification of control panels of 33/11/6.6kV switchgears by applying all safety practices and quality procedures.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Should have basic knowledge on ISO and Occupational Health & Safety Practices
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering with minimum 5 years overall experience and minimum 3 years relevant experience with a utility or reputed electrical organization
  • Hands-on knowledge for maintenance of 33/11/6.6kV switchgears and capacitor banks, mobile Diesel Generator operation & maintenance
  • Shall have experience in underground distribution cable fault location using sophisticated cable test vans/portable equipment and supervision of the complete repairing process including excavation
  • Cable jointing and termination work

2. Foreman – Protection

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Carry out testing job at site as a team leader.
  • Experience in preparation of electrolyte.
  • Attend to complaints in DC system in 33/11/6.6 kV substation.
  • Carry out routine maintenance of DC system, including different type of Battery and Battery charger

Skills & Abilities:

  • Diploma holders with 5 years’ experience in electricity utility in the related fields

3. Manager – Desalination (Mechanical Maintenance)

Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 8 years’ Experience within a power/desalination plant with responsibilities in maintenance engineering.
  • Must have extensive experience in mechanical maintenance of large scale Desalination plants and Reverse Osmosis plants.
  • Experience with SAP/Maximo.

4. Engineer Mechanical Maintenance (Steam Turbine)  

Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 6 years Experience in mechanical maintenance of industrial steam turbines and auxiliaries.

5. Manager – Transmission Control Centre

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily activities of the Transmission Control Center (TCC) in a safe, efficient, secure and economic manner in accordance to the established reliability and safety procedures and guidelines, and strive for continuous improvements of the Transmission Control Center performance and staff.
  • To observe and adhere to OH&S standards and practices as per the firm’s guidelines at all times.
  • Manage and supervise all administrative duties in TCC section.
  • Continuously innovate and fulfill the requirements of driving the Corporate Excellence
  • Facilitate, transfer and share knowledge with colleagues and subordinates.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 8 years’ Experience in transmission control room supervision and operation
  • Computer literacy, good command in English language and good report writing skills.

6. Deputy Manager – Trans Asset Management Cable

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage transmission line cable assets by ensuring asset quality through creating and updating database for the same, with the objective to efficiently track equipment condition, performance, propose refurbishment plans, procure spares etc for the optimum utilization of assets and to enhance the system reliability and cost effectiveness.
  • Maintain the Transmission cable abnormality database in order to get up to date information regarding the availability of equipment, condition, performance, failures with cause analysis and corrective and preventive action etc in line with the firm’s strategic objective.
  • Coordinate with other department in commissioning or new cable circuits in transmission network, in order to enable a smooth and fast handling over of equipments to the respective maintenance group after the commissioning of the cable circuits.
  • Create and manage database for tracking NOCs / abnormalities, as built /marked up, test reports, O&M Manual and snags related to transmission cables.
  • Develop / review quality procedures and method statements in order to make it abreast of the latest management policies, best utility / engineering practices, reliable & cost effective.
  • Propose necessary refurbishment / replacement to the asset to improve quality & reliability.
  • Yearly review of RCM analysis and produce comprehensive report as per recommendations.
  • Develop, manage and supervise internal safety as pr OH&S Management System Manual to the firm’s safety standards, Emiratization in line with departmental requirements to meet the firm’s strategic objective and training and development needs of immediate employees to meet the departmental objectives.
  • Review technical documents related to existing assets or new projects, prepare comments, submit to the concerned department and follow up results, decisions & recommendations. Recommend procurement of capital cables/spares in order to improve quality and reliability of the system.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 10years experience

7. Manager – Trans Asset Management Cable

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage transmission line assets Viz: 400/132kV cables, cable accessories by creating and updating database for the same, sustainably manage assets with the objectives to efficiently track condition, performance, risks and expenditures over their life cycles for the purpose of achieving the organizational strategic plan and propose refurbishment plans, procure spares etc for the optimum utilization of assets in order to enhance system reliability & cost effectiveness.
  • Monitor to ensure the updation of abnormality database for lines in order to get up to date information regarding the availability of transmission lines, its conditions, performance, failures with cause analysis and corrective & preventive action etc. in line with the department’s strategic objective.
  • Monitor to ensure the proper coordination with other departments in commissioning of new circuits in transmission network, in order to enable smooth and fast handing over of lines to the respective maintenance group after energization of circuit.
  • Review and update criteria for energization and taking over of new Transmission lines.
  • Manage Taking over activities of Transmission lines after commissioning and Snag rectification works as per the departmental procedures / SLAs Prepare asset performance data, condition assessment of lines, optimizing the usage of assets.
