KASNEB is a professional examinations body which operates under the Accountants Act, No. 15 of 2008, the Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya Act, Cap 534 of 1988 and the Investment and Financial Analysts Act, No.13 of 2015.
The mandate of KASNEB is to develop syllabuses, conduct professional, diploma and technician examinations; certify candidates in accountancy, finance, credit, governance and management, information communication technology and related disciplines; promote its qualifications globally and accredit relevant training institutions.

In keeping with current strategic needs, KASNEB seeks to recruit a suitable candidate for the following position:
Systems Programming Officer
Job Level 6
Overall Purpose: The Systems Programming Officer will be responsible for contributing to the development and design of PC based systems to meet the requirements of KASNEB.
Key duties and responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of Information Communication Technology, the Systems Programming Officer will be responsible for:
(i) Designing, developing and implementing PC based business applications/systems according to existing software development standards.
(ii) Producing system and user documentation.
(iii) Testing and modifying systems to ensure optimal operation level.
(iv) Carrying out system maintenance.
(v) Training end users on the implemented systems.
(vi) Troubleshooting system failures and providing appropriate solutions.
(vii) Participating in development, implementation and review of ICT strategy and any other special ICT projects as required.
(viii) Ensuring risk management in the area of operation.
(ix) Ensuring the implementation of the ISO Quality Management System.
(x) Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Academic / Professional Qualifications and Experience
(i) Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or IT equivalent qualification from a recognised university.
(ii) CICT or other professional qualification in ICT from a reputable professional body.
(iii) Member in good standing of a relevant professional body.
(iv) A minimum four (4) years relevant experience in a busy MIS environment in a large organisation and two (2) years relevant experience for serving officers.
(v) Good knowledge of systems design and developing tools such as Visual Basic, C++, Java, Ms-SQL Server, MySQL.
