Sales & Marketing Manager

Main Purpose of the Job: Developing and leading in the formulation and implementation of the Sales & Marketing strategy, policies and processes while leading and influencing Sales Executives to achieve overall business objectives

Main Responsibilities

  • Leading, planning and guidance of the sales executives, including setting sales targets for the sales executives, monitoring, appraising and evaluating their performance to ensure they meet and exceed their set targets.
  • To develop an effective sales itinerary cum route plan that minimizes wastage of resources and time while achieving maximum results to the sales executives.
  • Reviewing, evaluating and monitoring market research, market intelligence and customer surveys in order to proactively identify and recommend new business opportunities, products and services
  • Guiding the sales force in mapping out potential clients to introduce and sell company products and services while maintaining regular contact with existing accounts
  • Arranging for marketing programs and activities such as advertising and representing the organization in branding and promotional activities to enhance company recognition
  • Establishing social media strategy and presence to build positive business image
  • Coordinate the team in making the sale and collection of payment by ensuring adherence to the credit period
  • Develops and ensures the implementation of departmental budgets and monitors the expenditures to achieve profit margins and set targets
  • To analyze stock movement/availability
  • Talent management including engagement, coaching, mentoring, developing, motivating, training and evaluating staff to achieve highest levels of performance and culture
  • Managing and implementing change initiatives to achieve desired business results and culture
  • Identifying, implementing and benchmarking best practices in management
  • Preparation and presenting of detailed sales & marketing management reports including recommendations and actions

Academic Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Business related field – Preferably Marketing
  • At least 4 years relevant experience
    Professional Certification will be an added advantage
