The Aga Khan Education Service, Kenya (AKESK) operates 11 schools in various cities in Kenya and provides nursery to senior secondary education in both the national and international curricula.

It is part of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), a group of private development agencies working to improve living conditions and opportunities for people of all faiths and origins in specific regions of the developing world.

The Aga Khan Academy Nairobi, Senior School

The Senior School of the Aga Khan Academy, Nairobi is an IB World School and otters a holistic programme of education for students in grades 7-13, combining a rigorous academic focus with a broad range of athletic and enrichment activities for students.

The Senior School offers the IB Middle Years Programme of Studies for students in grades 7-11, blending the syllabus of the Cambridge IGCSE in grades 10 and 11 with that of the Middle Years’ Programme of Study.

As well, the Senior School offers students entry into the IB Diploma Programme of Studies in grades 12 and 13.
