Job Vacancy: Relationship Manager – SACCOS & Financial Institutions

Our Client is one of the fastest Growing and well-established Tier 3 banks in Kenya, and they are seeking to recruit a Relationship Manager – Saccos & Financial Institutions.

He/ she will be the main driver for the diversification of the banks revenue base through the development, management and overall business development activities prospective SACCO, MFI, Institutional and Trade bank customers, including installation and management of various cash management solutions at the customer site which enable the customers perform electronic Banking transactions for both payments and collections

Key Responsibilities

  • Business planning and growth (deposits and lending) as well as customer growth and retention
  • Management information reporting and integrity
  • Quality of service in customer engagement
  • Engagement with branches to drive payments and collections deliverables

Main Activities

Sales & Business Development:

  • Responsibility for cash management solutions and all business development activities in cash management
  • To drive and monitor the sale of the various collection and payment products to current and prospective customers of JBB in order to generate maximum interest and fee based income; these include Clearing House for SACCO’s, Salary processing, bulk payments, collection account, wholesale lending, Loans on Phone, Smarts safes, CIT etc
  • To expand the Bank’s product offering to current and prospective customers through product features enhancement and promotion of the cash management and internet banking products.
  • Develop business opportunities and monitor sector’s activities in line with the Trade Bank’s long-term strategic and annual business plans and ensure that the Trade Bank remains competitive within the specific sector and promptly reacts to changing market conditions and customer needs
  • Adopt the Relationship Management Framework fully in order to achieve targets and deliverables thereby increasing the Bank’s ability to increase the flow of business and generate deposits, lending and revenues from existing and new customers in line with the Trade Bank strategy
  • Work closely with the Trade Bank Relationship Managers to maintain a high degree of Business development, Relationship management and Customer service
  • Cross – selling bank services {FDR, Trade finance, salary processing, corporate clearing, forex etc.}
  • Collection of market intelligence information local competition, products and levels of service
  • Maintain and actively mine from the database of Enterprise Clients that they manage
  • To perform any other duty as assigned in line with the organization goals and objective such as regular attendance of training sessions as well as training of branch staff with regards to their specific sectors

Strategic Marketing

  • Embed strategic marketing by focusing on how to develop competitive advantage into the changing marketplace and leveraging on the Trade Bank’s distinctive capabilities to drive value
  • Enhance creation by creating, communicating, delivering, and offering solutions that have value for customers, shareholders and partners
  • Build the Brand to ensure that the bank is top of mind as a Trade Bank
  • Strategic product development
  • Enhance relationship marketing and management – to establish, maintain, and enhance relationships with customers and other partners, at a profit, so that the both the customer and bank objectives are met achieved by a mutual exchange and fulfillment of the brand promise
