Background: The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations is supporting the implementation of
the EU-funded project “Support to the attainment of Vision 2030 through Devolved Land Reforms in Kenya” whose objective is to support equitable and secure access and management of land for improved livelihoods and socioeconomic development in framework of Vision 2030.

Reporting Line: Under the overall supervision of the FAO Representative for Kenya, the direct supervision of the
Land Programme Manager and in close col’aboration with other project staff and national project partners, the incumbent will operationalize the communication and visibility plan for the land programme and ensure that the project is in line with overall communication strategy for the representation.

She/he will manage all communication activities for the programme and ensure that they are run smoothly and according to the agreed timelines and work.

Working relationship: The Communication Officer has frequent interaction with staff at all levels within the Office and with HO relevant offices for selected functions to exchange routine information concerning the
entire scope of the communications support.
