Area Sales Manager (Ceramic and Sanitary Ware) Job in Kenya

Duma Works is recruiting an Area Sales Manager for our client, a leading ceramic and sanitary ware manufacturing company.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • Select, train, motivate and assess new and existing Technical Sales Executives;
  • Comply with annual budgets;
  • Continually evaluate the distributor framework to assure sufficient coverage, and maximum market penetration;
  • Set sales objectives for Technical Sales Executives and Distributors;
  • Evaluate competitive situations and recommend appropriate tactics;
  • Conduct sales training programs for individuals and groups;
  • Function as key internal contact for assigned Technical Sales Executives;
  • Travel to territories to develop Technical Sales Executives and Distributors;
  • Coordinate and implement pricing policies within territories and within regions to maximize profit;
  • Execute regional and distributor level product promotion programs;
  • Coordinate planning for major trade exhibitions as assigned;
  • Responsibility for maintenance of major Project files, and Competitive Data files;
  • Continuing education;
  • Perform other directly related appropriate duties as assigned;
  • Any other duties assigned.

Minimum Educational Requirements

  • Minimum five years sales experience in the construction industry, preferably tile related;
  • Undergraduate degree in any science related field;
  • MBA will be an added advantage;
  • In depth knowledge of construction methods and standards;
  • Membership in Construction Specifications Institute. (CDT, CCPR or CCS desirable);
  • High computer literacy.
