Job Title: Township Team Leader

Purpose Statement: Leading the Township Operations team in ensuring Township maintenance activities, Township cleaning services, business premises allocation and associated legal issues are attended to.

Looks after housing matters, members’ clubs and generally ensures the provision of quality services to residents.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Attend to all township operating matters/ problems promptly and liaises with the civil team to ensure houses, township roads, sewage systems and all other Township amenities are well maintained.
  • Ensures equitable distribution and makes an inventory of fridges, fans and other house amenities.
  • Attend to all matters concerning business premises in the township including the collection of rents, and ensuring that all business premises owners sign legal documents and contracts with the Company.
  • Ensure that the township is cleaned on a daily basis and that litter and garbage are collected and disposed of in accordance with environmental health guidelines.
  • Control the presence of animals which are a nuisance in the township, i.e. donkeys’ cattle, and arrange for their removal by talking to local leaders or organising for forceful removal.
  • Organize and prepare a pest control program for the township and ensure that the pest control team treats all houses and public buildings against coach roaches, mosquitoes and other pests.
  • Maintain and update records of houses, their occupants, and furniture inventory.
  • Carry out regular inspection of township houses and public buildings, with the civil team, and arrange for maintenance and regular upkeep.
  • He is the Secretary to the Housing allocation committee and follows up and executes all decisions made by the allocation committee.
  • Also the Joint secretary to the works council and follows up all issues related to the council.
  • Follows up all matters related to Clubs in Township. He especially represents the Human resources manager
  • Responsible for the safety of all employees and equipment in area of operation.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Engineering, environmental studies , business studies or any other related disciplines from a recognized institution
