Summary: Our client with high end chains of fast food restaurants in Nairobi; seeks to recruit several supervisors / shift leaders and chain managers, who will supervise all the service staff and coordinate most day today activities of the chains.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Checking and ensuring the security, cleanliness and tidiness in the chain
  • Inspecting and supervising staff- check dress code, attendance, update the register, tidiness and allocate duties
  • Checking closing stock for previous day against opening stock for the present day and make a record of the same
  • Compiling daily action plan and communicates it to the crew members
  • Checking stock levels and issuing stocks
  • Placing orders for the next day’s stocks
  • Conducting a pre-shift meeting with the team
  • Checking correct usage of cleaning materials
  • Physically checking electricity meter and records the reading on the meter
  • Ensures that the level of gas, water and generator fuel is sufficient for the day and that all water pumps are operational
  • Ensures that the chain operates within the allocated budget
  • Inspects customer seating area for cleanliness, tidiness and quality service
  • Enters daily shift report, budget sheet and purchase summary
  • Receiving stock and checking deliveries from various suppliers
  • Conducts inspection- At pre-peak times mid-morning and mid-afternoon checks and ticks where standard is correct
  • Checks maintenance of equipment- Physically inspects to ensure correct usage of all equipment
  • Keeps or maintains an asset register for the store- updating it when purchases / transfer disposals are made
  • Checks banking procedures and that the banking slips correspond with the cash
  • Preparing a weekly detailed report
  • Conducting feedback meetings
  • Conducting month end stock take
  • Checks that shift changes run smoothly
  • Checks the actual turnover against the set budget and advises crew members of performance
  • Closes the shift- Completes end of shift report which includes opening stock for the shift, any issues and closing stock: theoretical usage against actual usage
  • Crew members Development and training
  • Explain and enforce safety regulations to the staff
  • Ensure excellent service delivery to clients
  • Ensure that guests receive high quality service
  • Offer F&B guidance on quality
  • To ensure that the applicable regulations are complied with

Key Requirements

  • Diploma in Hotel Management or F&B
  • 2-5 years’ experience in a busy Fast Food Restaurant Chains
  • Team management, leadership & team player
  • Supervisory skills

  • Good personality
  • Management skills
