Plan International Change Partner (Region of Eastern and Southern Africa) Job in Kenya

Plan International Kenya Vacancy

About Plan International: Plan International is an independent global child rights organization committed to supporting vulnerable and marginalized children and their communities to be free from poverty.

By actively connecting committed people with powerful ideas, we work together to make positive, deep-rooted and lasting changes in children and young people’s lives.

We place a specific focus on girls and women, who are most often left behind. For over 80 years, we have supported girls and boys and their communities around the world to gain the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to claim their rights, free themselves from poverty and live positive fulfilling lives.

We are inviting candidates for the following position:

Change Partner for the Region of Eastern and Southern Africa (RESA)

To support the implementation of our new global strategy, we are recruiting for a Change Partner, RESA who will be a key player in the transformation processes for our 12 countries, the regional office and the PAN African Liaison office.

S/he will be part of Plan International’s global Transformation Office which was created to support the organisation in delivering the new global strategy.

The role is based in the Regional Office in Nairobi, although there can be flexibility to be based in any of Plan International’s offices in Eastern and Southern Africa.

Our implementation approach is country led, with the Regional Leadership team being accountable for ensuring appropriate changes in each country office in the region, in line with the global strategy.

As such, the Regional Director will be responsible for jointly setting goals and for deploying the Change Partner to ensure their time and skills are maximised.

As it is important that the Change Partner provides a neutral, independent view on change problems and issues that arise, s/he will report to the Head of OD, who jointly participates in goal setting, ensures continuous professional development, and supports the Change Partners in building connections and learning across the entire organisation.

Plan International is a development organization uniting people to advance the rights of all children.

Accordingly, we are an equal opportunity employer and employment is subject to our child protection standards including appropriate background checks and adherence to our Child Protection Policy.

Female candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
