Calls for Tender: Financial Literacy and VSLA Training Consultant
Farm Africa’s goal is to reduce poverty and food insecurity. We work with African smallholder farmers, pastoralists and forest-based communities to develop innovative approaches and use proven new technologies to make sustainable improvements to their livelihood activities through more effective management of their natural resources.
Waitrose Foundation and Farm Africa are working on a project titled; ‘Partnership for Prosperity’ which aims to improve the livelihoods of employees and their families in Waitrose’s supply chains. Utilising a collaborative programme of assessment, upskilling of worker committees and targeted investment of funds the project will contribute towards creating thriving worker communities.
The project will target activities at the level of worker communities, commercial farms and the wider horticulture sector.
In order to support the design of the project implementation, Farm Africa is looking for a consultant.
The objective of the consultant is to develop a training curriculum and conduct a two-day training on “Financial Literacy and Establishment of VSLA for Local Savings and Credit Access” among workers from nine flower/vegetable farms and Packhouses.
