Vacant Position: National Sales Manager, FMCG

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and develop programs for national sales and ensure its implementation ,developing action plans for field sales
  • Ensure the successful achievement of the company’s sales goals across all its regions
  • Ensure sales volume is at its maximum, maintaining product mix, and selling price
  • Oversee company’s sales performance at regional levels
  • Develop effective sales strategy and ensure its timely implementation
  • Schedule occasional meeting with regional sales representatives
  • Keep current with demand and supply of company’s products, economic indicators, changing trends and its competitors
  • Monitor cost in relation to prevailing competition, and if necessary adjust the price of selling when required
  • Establish sales ,product networks across all regions
  • Recruit and train sales employees for effective delivery
  • Participate in market strategy building by providing useful information from sales activities
  • Oversee national sales, promotions, collections and other activities to achieve sales target.
  • Build positive working relationship with existing clients for repeat business.
  • Identify and contact potential customers for new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate with sales team to plan promotional activities, trade shows and special events
  • Understand client and market trends and needs and provide appropriate sales solutions.
  • Prepare sales contracts, proposals and reports for management and customers.
  • Participate in sales conferences, industry meetings, and social networks to represent company’s brand.
  • Maintain sales management and reporting tools to achieve business objectives.
  • Coordinate with management to develop sales plan, budget and schedule.
  • Motive and guide sales team to achieve revenue targets.
  • Interact with sales team to develop sales plans and strategies.
  • Develop creative sales technique and tactics to meet business goals.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Experience with FMCG a MUST
  • Exceptional negotiation skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships, whether internally or externally
  • Possess effective presentation skills
  • Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and still produce result
  • Visionary individual
  • Experience in similar position or organization
  • Demonstrated ability to retain high performing team of sales personnel
  • Ability to meet with targets, be proactive and plan effectively
  • Must possess time management skills, with the ability to make timely decisions

  • Possess people skills and the ability to solve problems
  • Ability to build and maintain effective networks
  • 10+ years’ experience in sales with at least 5 years’ in an executive position
  • Having worked with an ERP system
