Paint Manufacturing Company Planning Officer Job in Kenya

Our client is the leading paint manufacturer in the region with a huge portfolio in multiple countries in Africa. They seek to hire an experienced professional to plan and manage demand, ensure continuous availability of stock in warehouses and depots.

The right candidate will be a numbers person working closely with both sales and production team to ensure accurate and scientific demand forecasting.

The Planning Officer must be conversant with SAP Business One with 5 solid years working in the same capacity in a busy paint or FMCG manufacturing firm.

Position: Planning Officer

The role reports directly to the Planning & Logistics Manager

Responsible for Production planning and FG logistics.

The officer will work across departments and very closely with the sales and production departments.

Principal Responsibility of the Job:

  • Monthly production plan preparation.
  • Monitoring daily stock status of depots and plan production accordingly.
  • Daily production plan compliance monitoring
  • Preparation of MIS reports related to planning and logistics
  • Coordinate between depots and plan for priorities.
  • Ensure no stock out at depots
  • Batch card generation for production
  • Prepare Special Products Requisitions to Production, or to other locations where stocks are available.
  • Plan and prioritize movement of FG from factory to depots.
  • Actively be involved in Kaizen activities of the plant.
  • Perform any other duties as required by management from time to time.

Job specifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 Years work experience in Production Planning, Logistics, and Warehousing
  • MUST have experience in an FMCG or Paint Manufacturing plant
  • Experience in demand planning and forecasting in a Paint Manufacturing firm will be a definite plus

Gender: Preferably Female candidate

Salary: Ksh 80,000 – 120,000 depending on experience
