Duties and Responsibilities
As a school secretary, your duties may include:
- typing and word processing letters, reports and other documents
- dealing with incoming and outgoing post
- printing, photocopying, filing and retrieving information and documents
- greeting visitors at reception, answering the phone and passing on messages
- keeping clerical and computerized records of pupils and staff
- producing statistical returns and reports
- dealing with school meals administration
- ordering equipment and stationery
- managing diaries and booking travel
- Being responsible for first aid and the sick room.
- Dealing with incoming and outgoing post
