Job Vacancy: HR Officer

Job Responsibilities

  1. Ensure that accurate job descriptions are in place
  2. Provide advice and assistance when conducting staff performance evaluations
  3. Identify training and development opportunities
  4. Organize staff training sessions, workshops and activities
  5. Provide basic counselling to staff who have performance related obstacles
  6. Provide staff orientations
  7. Monitor daily attendance.
  8. Investigate and understand causes for staff absences.
  9. Recommend solutions to resolve chronic attendance difficulties.
  10. Coordinate staff recruitment and selection process in order to ensure a timely organized and comprehensive procedure is used to hire staff.
  11. Schedule and organize interviews
  12. Participate in applicant interviews
  13. Conduct reference checks on possible candidates
  14. Develop and implement a human resources plan and personnel management policies and procedures
  15. Promote workplace safety.
  16. Provide advice and assistance to staff and management on pay and benefits systems
  17. Review and draft policies, ensuring they are up to date and fit for purpose.
  18. Build strong working relationships at all levels to influence and engage staff

Requirements

  • Proven 2 year experience as an HR assistant or relevant human resources
  • Basic knowledge of labour law
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong communications skills
  • BS degree in Human Resources or related field
  • IHRM Diploma is added advantage
