Job Vacancy: Sales Engineer – Solar Water Heaters

Location: Nairobi

Nature of Job: Full time

Principal Accountabilities

  • Take survey of installation, pricing and send quotations
  • Supervise and guide a sales team
  • Deliver technical presentations to customers
  • To forecast sales accurately
  • To close sales on a consistent basis
  • To source for business and target high end clientele
  • Solve issues of installed equipment
  • To meet monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets and grow sales month by month
  • To identify and map sales areas and conduct sales demos
  • To ensure complaints and after-sales service issues and repairs are managed in time and to the satisfaction of the customers
  • To meet high ethical standards in line with the company culture

Experience Required and Skills

  • Engineering degree from an accredited University or program at a 4 year college (Electrical, Energy, or Mechanical preferred)
  • 2 years of experience in a solar design related position
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Microsoft office proficiency, especially Excel
  • Proficient with AutoCAD 2D
  • A go-getter, who can take initiative and work independently
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, innovative, passionate
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Able to connect with people and obtain their trust and respect
  • Preferred candidates are those with experience selling solar water heaters
