Position: Restaurant Cook
Location: Nairobi
Nature of Job: Full time
Duties and Responsibilities
- Planning menu for the day
- Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications
- Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food supplies
- Prepare item for broiling, grilling, frying, sautéing or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning or marinating
- Prepare a variety of cuisines in different method
- Assumes 100% responsibility for quality and presentation of food served
- Understand and comply consistently with the standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
Key Requirements
- 1-3 years’ experience as a cook
- College education in F& B
- Creative with good initiatives
- Flexible to work in alternate shifts
- Good communication skills
- Presentable with excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of preparing various cuisines
