Stores Admin – Nairobi

Salary: Ksh 50,000

Job Summary: Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, administers the operations of a store. Receives, verifies and sells merchandise. Provides information to and assists customers. Prepares purchase requisitions. Maintains inventory. Maintains files and prepares reports.

Main job duties and responsibilities:

  • Carry out vans and warehouse physical count.
  • Receiving, moving, checking and storing all incoming goods.
  • Checking and inspecting goods received and ensuring they are of accurate quantity, type, and also acceptable quality.
  • Selecting space for storage and arranging for goods to be placed in the designated areas.
  • Carrying out daily reconciliation Vans and warehouses.
  • Supervision of offloading and loading of vans and shipment from port.
  • Maintaining warehouse cleanliness.
  • Safekeeping of company stocks.
  • Recording Goods received notes and Goods Returns notes and forwarding to the relevant departments.
  • Ensuring accuracy in all paper work. System invoices and delivery quantities.
  • Labelling goods that have arrived at the warehouse

Required Skill and Ability;

  • Diploma level in Procurement, Purchasing or Business Management
  • 2 years successful experience in inventory management
  • Direct working knowledge of operations and warehouse management.
  • Must have strong computer and technical skills
  • Ability to interpret and act upon complex instructions.
  • Excellent analytical and solving skills
